Biography
Born in South Korea, Kakyoung
Lee received a BFA/MFA in Printmaking in Hong-Ik University in Seoul,
Korea, followed by several group and solo shows in Korea, France, and
the USA. She continued studying printmaking and animation in the graduate
program at SUNY Purchase. She was invited to the MacDowell Residency
program and Yaddo (2003-2004), and received an Artist Grant of Korean
Culture and Art Foundation (2003), followed by two solo shows at the
Insa and the Shinsaegae Gallery in Seoul (2004). One of her animations
was shown in the “Analog Animation” show at the Drawing
Center (2006).
